Here's some suggested troubleshooting steps for USB bar code scanners and Square: for more than a decade.Hey for posting in the Seller Community again. I, recently, acquired the role of and IT do-it-all. But, I was denied financial leeway for unnecessary expenses and this in their opinion is one. Let me begin by stating I am aware that there are tonnes of posts for this question. Would anyone care to share their thoughts about what this might indicate for things to come?Ī few weeks ago, Jay Lecroix Opens a new window made some passing references to the changes IBM has made to CentOS/CentOS Strea. Has anyone else heard anything about RHEL becoming closed source? Well, mine mostly sleeps but they are there! This is Peanut. Let's see those pets that work right alongside you. I hope this helps those of you with the same issue.ĭo you work from home or office? Doesn't matter. This was a nearly impossible scenario to troubleshoot and threw Zebra, the network guy, vendor etc. As a result I had intermittent connectivity to the printer and a pile of blank labels that were printing a few times a minute that were meant for the old HP printer.ĥ. When I assigned the Zebra printer the static IP, the print server tried printing the HP printer jobs from two years ago.Ĥ. When the old HP printer was removed, there were unprinted jobs in the queue on the print server.ģ. The static IP I was being used on a print server that had old print jobs queued.Ģ. via ping the static IP using Windows command line.ġ. Intermittent connectivity to the zebra printer. Any incompatible job will hang your connection to the printer while your printer attempts to figure it out. If so kill the source of those print jobs. See which ones are hitting your static IP and verify that this is not on a print server bit banging your printer with print jobs. Or have your network guy catch the packets.Try using a couple different static IP addresses. With a pile of blank labels on the floor caused by the print server attempting to finish the queued jobs. Turned out to be a print-server that had a job queue for the IP address I used. Maybe if enough of us switch to a different brand label printer, that would be enough to get Zebra's attention? Let's try it and find out. After all, I have 100+ other network devices that think my network is just fine. I fully expect the problem to spring up again and I'd prefer to have a reliable printer rather than one that needs VLAN's or extra network print servers to cover for their flaws. But don't worry Zebra, your reseller was happy to sell me a different brand, so I'm all taken care of now.Īnyway, even though they are currently working fine, I am replacing them. But, they referred me to a reseller instead who then became stumped. I would think that this information would be valuable to Zebra since it has happened to a few of us now, some having more affected Zebra printers than others. I could have dug into this more, used Wireshark, etc, but why? These printers are not that expensive and my time is extremely valuable. The theory I've seen that I think holds the most potential is these printers having sensitivities to something in the network environment - number of broadcasts, etc. The issue happened on two different print servers. The problem did go away after I rebooted servers, however, which includes 2008 R. The problem springs up on both of them at the same time when it does happen. The two Zebra GX420d's worked fine when connected directly to a laptop or on a small network with a switch and a laptop, so the hardware isn't failing. We also tried all the basics - firmware, drivers, cabling, IP conflicts, etc. Has anyone else had the same issue that was resolved or could anyone maybe think of something we are missing? We have tried everything suggested in the above thread and the steps taken in the original query but nothing makes any difference whatsoever. This thread describes the exact same issue we are having. They have been functioning perfectly until now and nothing has changed on our network that would cause this to happen. We have over a dozen Zebra GK420d label printers that constantly fall off our network for no apparent reason. If your network is small look for a malfunctioning pc or server that is sending out a lot of broadcasts. We solved the problem by putting the printers on a VLAN to separate them from the main network. We found that the printers are very sensitive to broadcast traffic. We have had this problem with the Zebra GK420t printers.

In transitioning markets that lack abundant private sector financing, creative approaches from government officials, donors, and business leaders can fill the void to support entrepreneurial activity. That doesn't mean they can't nurture and sustain new businesses. These markets are unlike Silicon Valley, and they will likely remain so. Learners will analyze the tools of process mapping, Kaizen (a continuous improvement method/tool deemed a prerequisite for Lean transformation success), Lean (a continuous improvement philosophy that emphasizes streamlined workflows and reducing waste), and the process improvement methodology driving DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.Įntrepreneurs fostering new ventures outside of well-developed entrepreneurial ecosystems like Silicon Valley face significant challenges. The course covers high-level foundational principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC processes before diving deep into Lean Six Sigma methods. Participants gain the skills and knowledge to reimagine internal processes, engage in advanced problem-solving, and empower employees. In a series of lectures, Master Black Belt in Six Sigma Shane Wentz, Ph.D., enables learners to enhance, optimize, and stabilize business processes and to augment quality control through varied methodologies. In this course, participants learn core principles, concepts, and methods of continuous improvement and explore the history of continuous improvement efforts. Before that, though, we need to create a Nexmo account and receive our API credentials. Your Phoenix server is up and running! Now let's set up our application to interact with the Nexmo SMS API and start sending text messages. If you now run mix phx.server and navigate to in your browser you will see a welcome page from Phoenix. You can modify the Phoenix database settings in config/devs.exs first, and once you are ready, you run mix ecto.create from your console to set up the database for your application. By default, Phoenix uses PostgreSQL and assumes that there is a postgres/postgres PostgreSQL superuser. Once in there, we need to create the database for our application. Go ahead and cd into your new app directory. Phoenix uses npm to fetch and install its Node dependencies. For simplicity sake, I would recommend answering in the affirmative to the setup prompts when it asks you if you want to install dependencies. This will create the basics of your new application inside a /sms_app directory. Once you have the language and the framework installed, you can create a new Phoenix app by running the following command from your console:Įnter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode You can use their guides here and here to get up and running with the installation. The first thing that you need is to make sure that both Elixir and Phoenix are installed on your system. I took the dive and started working my way through the Elixir tutorials, and this past weekend created my first simple Phoenix app with the ability to interact with the Nexmo SMS API and send text messages. It, like Elixir, is built to be intuitive and with a low barrier to entry.Īs someone who does a lot of work in Ruby, and in Rails, I have been wanting to learn Elixir and Phoenix for a while. The most popular web framework in the Elixir ecosystem is Phoenix. It is a functional language with an intuitive syntax and a supportive community around it. The Elixir programming language has been steadily gaining more adoption by developers, and for good reason. Licenses can also be transferred between USB-eLicensers with certain limitations. Unlike Genghis Khan, he was the king who conquered the world and could not tolerate this. Huazheng won't be so cruel to be pampered, her purpose is to keep Guo Jing's mother and son. However, Huazheng's whistleblower led to the death of Li Ping and Genghis Khan was mainly responsible. WhatĬan't get is always good, and he is a childhood sweetheart, so Hua Zheng's infatuation with Guo Jing is understandable. Huang Rong's lively personality, pretty and eccentric, is irresistible to Guo Jing. Guo Jing's life has always been peaceful. She loves Guo Jing's love directly and enthusiastically, and she can even accompany Guo Jing to find Hua Zheng for marriage. Huang Rong is different, her father is Dongxie, so naturally he doesn't fall into the world's stereotypes. So even if they fall in love, it is kind of bland and long. But Guo Jing is a boring gourd, Huazheng is definitely more reserved than ordinary people, and Huazheng is more shy. Guo Jing and Hua Zheng were childhood sweethearts, and they were brothers and sisters. Guo Jing's mother took him away to the desert, leaving him behind. Guo Jing gave up his concubine and married Huang Rong, who was quirky and eccentric, right? Huazheng is classified as the princess of Genghis Khan, is it worth it to fall in love with the silly Guo Jing? Is Guo Jing a heartless man? Should Hua Zheng be responsible for the death of Guo Jing's mother? Guo Jing Huang Rong Huazheng love triangle is also controversial. Guo Jing and Huang Rong have very distinct images as the protagonists, and their popularity should be no less than that of the news network hosts at that time. The bad editor read all Jin Yong's novels several times until he was in college, and the degree of glasses increased from 150 to 300. When we were kids, when the "Legend of the Condor Heroes" was shown, it was crowded. So the question is, why did Guo Jing marry Huang Rong instead of Hua Zheng in the end? The two knew each other before Huang Rong, and they had a marriage contract long before Guo Jing came to the Central Plains. In fact, Hua Zheng and Guo Jing can be said to have grown up as childhood sweethearts. Lamented that Guo Jing and Huang Rong had such a deep relationship and that they had gone through so many hardships to finally get together, but everyone seemed to have forgotten another person who had an emotional entanglement with Guo Jing, that is Temujin Daughter Huazheng. Living in the same bed and dying in the same cave, the feelings are really enviable. Jin Yong did not write it down in the end, he also knew that both of them died in the guard battle of Xiangyang. Two people with such big differences in personalities can complement each other very well and stage a love story that everyone admires. In "The Legend of Condor Heroes", in addition to the wonderful and ups and downs of the storyline that people pay attention to, the love story of the two protagonists Guo Jing and Huang Rong is also a point worth watching. They are the main protagonists of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", as well as important characters in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", and they are even described in the last "Eternal Dragon Sword". In the "Divine Carving Trilogy", Guo Jing and Huang Rong can be said to be very important roles. There are already many versions of TV series alone, and the ratings of each and are not low. Jin Yong 's "Divine Carving Trilogy" can be said to be enduring, not only the novels are very popular, but even the TV series are shot again and again. She earned her bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology and Slavic studies and a master’s in politics, development and democratic education. As a biracial woman who identifies as Black, she has experienced people’s negative perceptions firsthand. As a child, she lived for a time in Moscow and Ukraine, but she spent her most formative years in the United States. Her father, Ukrainian, and her mother, Nigerian, were living in Kyrgyzstan before her birth. Martschenko brings her life experiences to her work. She wants to stop “the unintended consequences of our research from playing out,” she says. She looks at the downstream effects of the research, especially social harms, and develops strategies to prevent those harms. Martschenko’s work focuses on how genomics research can be conducted in a way that is social and ethical, can include community engagement and can be clearly communicated. A white gunman who killed 10 Black people in a Buffalo supermarket in 2022 cited a genetic study to support his heinous act. Today’s science tells us that race has no basis in genetics, but genetics has been invoked throughout history to justify slavery, racial discrimination, forced sterilization, xenophobic immigration policies and more. But such studies can be prone to bias and can be misinterpreted or co-opted to promote unscientific and even harmful ideas. With abundant access to genetic information, researchers can now ask new questions about what influences human behavior. Now a bioethicist at Stanford University, Martschenko is interested in how findings from social and behavioral genomics - the study of how genetic differences among individuals influence complex behaviors and social outcomes - affect society at large, including inequity and injustice and how we respond to them. in education, but today her work goes beyond that field. The show’s second encore, meanwhile, was the “payoff” for those who wanted the hits, a breezy and breathless half-hour blast through “Lullaby,” “The Walk,” “Friday I’m in Love,” “Close to Me,” “Why Can’t I Be You?,” “In Between Days,” “Just Like Heaven” and the concluding “Boys Don’t Cry.” There were far more smiles than tears by that point, and without question a hope among the 15,000 or so that it won’t be another 19 years before we see the Cure in these parts again. She ultimately pursued a Ph.D. The bulk of the night, however, focused on the Cure’s 80s material, and who wasn’t there for that? Playing in front of a multi-section video screen and curating the show to build in intensity as the skies darkened, the Cure dug in deep for the likes of “Burn,” “Cold,” “At Night,” “39,” the rocking “Shake Dog Shake,” “A Strange Day” and a particularly epic “One Hundred Years,” lightening the proceedings by dotting in occasional favorites such as “Pictures of You” and “Lovesong.” Bassist Simon Gallup was, as usual, the physical foil on stage, while drummer Jason Cooper was both steady and explosive and Smith, Gabrels and Perry Bamonte crafted a murky soundscape with their guitars, accented by Roger O’Donnell’s keyboards. The Cure performs Tuesday night, June 13, Tuesday night, June 13, at the Pine Knob Music Theatre (Photo by Mike Ferdinande) With a new album, “Songs of a Lost World,” promised - but not yet released, though it gave this tour its name - Smith and company also introduced the Detroit metro audience to the dense groove of “A Fragile Thing,” the textured, hypnotic “Endsong,” the emotive “I Can Never Say Goodbye” and the gauzy and hypnotic “And Nothing is Forever.” All fit nicely within the Cure’s particular brand of sturm und drang, with Reeves Gabrels’ avant guitar heroics featured on most. There were more where that came from, too. Frontman Robert Smith - sporting an Eraserhead T-shirt and his trademark mane of high-piled hair now salt-and-pepper - took a full three minutes to bask in the applause before leading the band into “Alone,” one of several new songs on the set list that began ironically, with the lyric “This is the end of every song we sing.” DSO’s ‘Black Panther’ concerts lead busy music weekendįollowing the Twilight Sad’s solid opening set, the Cure came on stage to a rapturous welcome from the sold-out Pine Knob crowd. If the film contains a cast, filters can be used during photo processing to correct it.The European Color Initiative (ECI) ia a group of experts which is dedicated to advancing media-neutral colour data-processing in digital publishing systems. If the film itself does not contain any cast, it can be reused to create another set of photographs in proper chemical conditions. In the case of film, if photographs all contain the same cast, it is usually indicative of improper chemical development. If a filter is unavailable, flash is an alternative solution which usually provides enough neutral white light to counter the cast. Clouded sky, for example, requires a paler amber than clear blue sky. Colour temperature meters can read the temperature of the existing lighting conditions and guide the selection of the filter. A photographer chooses which filter to use based on the quality of the ambient light. Kodak's amber filters, for example, vary from palest yellow ("81C") to deepest amber ("85B"). Blue filters reduce the orange colour caused by incandescent light.Ī variety of coloured filters in varying degrees of intensity are available. Amber filters are used to reduce the blueish tint caused by daylight. For film, blue filters and amber filters are used to counter casts. Otherwise, photo editing programs, such as Photoshop, often have built in colour correction facilities. Most digital cameras try to automatically detect and compensate colour cast and usually have a selection of manually set white balance settings to choose from. The same photo with the colour cast corrected These may be correctable on a scanned version of the photograph with image editing techniques. Improper timing or imbalanced chemical mixtures can cause unwanted casts.Ĭolour casts can also occur in old photographs due to fading of dyes, particularly under the action of ultraviolet light. In film, colour casts can also be caused by problems in photo development. The human eye generally does not notice the unnatural colour, because our eyes and brains adjust and compensate for different types of light in ways that cameras cannot. Illuminating a subject with light sources of different colour temperatures will usually cause colour cast problems in the shadows. Ĭertain types of light can cause film and digital cameras to render a colour cast.
